150 g chicken breast
75 g rice
50 g onion
5 g garlic
100 g tomatoes
10 ml olive oil
2 g paprika
1 g salt
1/2 g black pepper
Chef's tip: Use a heavy skillet to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
Chef's tip: For extra flavor, let the chicken brown well before adding tomatoes.
Dice the onion, mince the garlic, and chop the tomatoes. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
Add chicken pieces, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook until chicken is lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
Add garlic and tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add rice and 150 ml of the tomatoes' released juices plus additional liquid from the tomatoes themselves (the tomatoes provide enough moisture; if needed, use a splash of the tomato juices from the chopped tomatoes). Stir, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and let rest covered for 5 minutes before serving.
