Ingredients

  • 100 g noodles

  • 150 g chicken

  • 1 chili

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 250 ml water

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Tools you'll need

large pot colander wok or large skillet wooden spoon knife cutting board

Chef's tip: Slice the chicken thinly against the grain for quicker cooking and tenderness.

Chef's tip: If the pan gets too dry when adding noodles, add an extra splash of water to loosen the sauce.

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until just tender. Drain and set aside.

    ~8 min
  2. 2

    While step 1 cooks

While the noodles cook, slice the chicken into thin strips, mince the garlic, and thinly slice the chili (remove seeds for less heat).

    ~5 min
  3. 3

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken strips and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

    ~4 min
  4. 4

Add the minced garlic and sliced chili to the chicken. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    ~1 min
  5. 5

Add the soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of water to the pan. Stir to coat the chicken, scraping up any browned bits.

    ~1 min
  6. 6

Add the drained noodles to the pan. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated and heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
